Sunny Wayne starrer ‘Appan’ is gearing up for a grand release. Directed by Maju under the banner of Tiny Hans Productions, the film is produced by Joskutty Mathil and Ranjith Manambarakkat. . OTT platform Sony Liv has acquired the rights to show ‘Appan’ for a huge amount.

Sunny Wayne is coming to ‘Appan’ in a completely different look and feel from what he has done so far. The posters of the film also suggest the same. Belonging to the emotional drama genre, the film shares the uniqueness of the father-son relationship and also the whole story of a family. Maju and R Jayakumar have written the story, screenplay and dialogues. The same producer’s film ‘Vellam’ won 2 State Awards and Film Critics Award for Best Second Film. After Prajesh Sen-Jayasurya’s ‘Vellam’, ‘Appan’ comes with even greater expectations.

The film revolves around the life of Sunny Wayne’s character, who lives as a family amidst rubber trees in a hilly village close to the forest in the beauty of greenery. Alencier Ley Lopez has played the titular character of ‘Appan’ through an extraordinary disguise. Alencier Ley Lopez is one of those actors who has written his own signature for every character he has played. The film also has the distinction of Ananya returning to cinema after a long gap. Ananya appears in the role of a typical rural housewife. Grace Antony also plays an important role. Sunny Wayne and Grace Antony play Alencier’s children, while Ananya and Vigilesh play the role of nephews and Polly Watson plays Alencier’s wife. The film also has the peculiarity that all the characters in the film have a negative character. The main location was in Thodupuzha.
