The Pakistani Taliban has announced the end of a ceasefire agreement with the Pakistani government. It has also called for a resumption of attacks on the government. There are reports that the Pakistani Taliban are moving to confront the Imran Khan government just as they overthrew the Afghan government.

Terrorists have announced that the one-month ceasefire agreement reached between the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the Pakistani government will not be extended. This is a major setback for Prime Minister Imran Khan’s efforts to secure a peace deal with terrorists in the country. The TTP has been fighting the government for decades.

The Pakistani Taliban have been behind a number of major attacks on Pakistani security forces and civilians over the past 14 years. They were also behind the 2014 attack on a military school in Peshawar.

The TTP alleges that the Imran government has failed to comply with decisions taken by its ranks, including the release of prisoners. The terrorists alleged that the agreement with the government under the Islamic Emirates of Afghanistan (IEA) dated October 25, 2021 had been violated.

Under the agreement, both sides agreed to observe a one-month ceasefire from November 1 to November 30, 2021, and the government would release 102 prisoners and hand them over to the TTP through the IEA. But the TTP alleges that the terrorists were not released.

The TTP statement said that the government had not only failed to implement the decisions between the two sides, but also that security forces had raided Dera Ismail Khan, Lucky Marwat, Swat, Bajaur, Swabi and North Waziristan, killing and detaining terrorists.

ടി TTP Taliban a headache for Pakistan

The TTP is also known as the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), a militant group based in the Pashtun region. They were behind the shooting of Malala Yousafzai. The Pakistani Taliban, which has been at loggerheads with the Pakistani military, had recently begun its operations. The Pakistani Taliban have been trying to forge closer ties with the Taliban since they seized control of Kabul and came to power in Afghanistan. The Pakistani military has recently stepped up operations against the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Its terrorists are choosing the Afghan territory in large numbers to escape.

Earlier, Pakistani Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed had said that the Afghan Taliban should ensure that the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan does not use Afghan soil for terrorist activities against Pakistan. Nine Chinese and four Pakistanis were killed in a Taliban attack in northern Pakistan last July. Pakistan has accused the Taliban of plotting the attack from safe havens in provinces that are part of Afghanistan.
