Tanush Kotian Replaces Adam Zampa in Rajasthan Royals for IPL 2024

Jaipur: The Australian leg-spinner has replaced Adam Sampa, who is sure not to play for Rajasthan Royals in the 17th season of the IPL. Tanush Kotian, who is 25 and a hero for Mumbai in the last Ranji Trophy, replaced Sampa in the Royals squad. Rajasthan Royals paid a base price of Rs 20 lakh for Tanush Kotian. Adam Sampa withdrew from IPL 2024 due to personal reasons.

Tanush Kotian is considered as one of the future stars of Mumbai domestic cricket. Tanush shone with all-round excellence as Mumbai won the Ranji Trophy for the 42nd time. In 10 matches he took 29 wickets at an average of 16.96 and 502 runs at an average of 41. After scoring an unbeaten 120* against Baroda, he scored a crucial 89 against Tamil Nadu in the semi-final. Tanush Kotian has represented Mumbai in 23 Twenty20 matches, 26 First Class matches and 19 List A matches. Tanush Kotian is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off-spinner. Rajasthan Royals first match of IPL 2024 will be against Lucknow Super Giants on March 24. Sanju Samson, a Malayali, is the captain of Rajasthan Royals.

Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans replaced Robin Munns with BR Sarath. BR Sarath, a wicket-keeper batsman, is Karnataka’s superstar in domestic cricket. He has already played 28 T20 matches, 20 First Class matches and 43 List A matches. Sarath also joined the team for a base amount of 20 lakhs.
