Temporary Employment Opportunities Available for Hajj Season in Saudi Arabia

The Department of Human Resources and Social Development of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has invited applications for temporary employment. Hiring is under the Ajir Al-Hajj service, which enables businesses to hire a temporary workforce through seasonal contracts during the Hajj period.

The ministry has asked citizens and expatriates who are interested in working in the holy places during the Hajj season to upload their resumes on the Ajeer platform. The appointment will be in Makkah, Madinah and Jeddah. The main responsibility of those appointed will be to make the Haj pilgrimage as smooth as possible for the pilgrims.

A resident applicant must be at least 18 years old. Non-resident applicants must be employed in one of the labor market organizations with the approval of the main employer. Organizations must issue seasonal Haj permits to employees. Severe penalties will be imposed on those who do not comply with the law.

The Ajeer Al-Hajj service enables traders to issue work permits, recruit temporary staff and advertise vacancies during the Hajj season. Job seekers can directly apply for the vacancies through the official website.

Meanwhile, the first Hajj group from India arrived in Madinah yesterday. 285 pilgrims from Hyderabad landed at Amir Muhammad Bin Abdul Aziz International Airport in Madinah yesterday morning. Saudi Minister of Transport Salih Al Jasir and Deputy Minister of Hajj, Indian Ambassador Dr. Suhail Ajaz Khan also accepted.
