After examination, he was diagnosed with liver fluke infection, which caused liver abscess. Doctors emphasize that the human body is immune to most microorganisms, so it is not that you cannot eat sashimi completely, but you must pay attention to the source of food and not eat it too frequently.

Each food is suitable for different cooking methods. For example, Trichinella spiralis and Pork worm are often found in pork. If they are not cooked and eaten, eating these pathogens may cause myocarditis, encephalitis, and even blindness. In severe cases, it may even be fatal. Some foods can be eaten raw, but they must be eaten raw. Confirm the source of the food and handle it properly. For example, sashimi may contain Chinese liver fluke, amoeba, marine gastric nematode, etc., which may lead to liver abscess, gastric bleeding and other problems.

Reheating cooked food may increase the risk of cancer

Chen Rongjian shared that another 60-year-old woman often sought medical treatment for gastrointestinal problems when she was young, and even often went to the emergency room. During an emergency consultation, the woman was admitted to the hospital for treatment due to colon diverticulitis. But after that, I still went to the doctor every few months because of stomach discomfort. Although I didn’t need surgery, I always needed to be prescribed medication.

Until one time, when the patient’s child accompanied him to the doctor, he expressed the hope that Chen Rongjian would give the patient some advice. After asking about it, I found out that the woman was frugal by nature and often froze uneaten food and reheated it to eat another day. Although it is not harmful to do this occasionally, she does not eat much and has a bad gastrointestinal condition. She often reheats a bento 3 or 4 times.

Chen Rongjian speculated that part of the reason why the patient had poor gastrointestinal problems from a young age to now was due to his eating habit of repeatedly heating the food. Studies have shown that after repeatedly heating a substance, whether it is frying or microwaved, the changes in the substance will increase the chance of gastrointestinal cancer. Therefore, it is also recommended that women buy food in moderation and avoid eating it if they are not finished. Reheat food repeatedly.
