On October 31, 2022, the release date of the “set” game “Sword Art Online” was not released in the real world. To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the animation, the official released a special edition Blu-ray “10th Anniversary BOX” packaged in a “NERvGear” helmet pattern outer box.
The original light novel “Sword Art Online” was published in April 2009, and the animation adaptation was launched in July 2012. “Sword Art Online” is the world’s first VR MMORPG co-published with the VR product “NERvGear” the electronic machine manufacturer ARGUS. The designer Kayaba Akihiko tried to make the player unable to log out in this game, and if the HP in the game world returns to zero, the player will die in the real world…
The special edition “10th Anniversary BOX” includes 12 Blu-ray discs, 8 music CDs, illustrations by Sotaro Hori’s CyDesignation, numbered sequence cards, a 10th anniversary storybook, and a 10th anniversary picture book- year. It contains mostly the content of the first season, the animation of the second season, and “Sword Art Online: Sequence Battle”.
