Considering that cannabis is an herb that is valuable to study or research, is of economic importance for the benefit of protection and promotion of sustainable use.
By virtue of Section 4, Section 44, Section 45 (3) and (5) of the Act Protection and Promotion of Thai Traditional Medicine, 1999, Minister of Public Health With the advice of the Committee on the Protection and Promotion of Thai Traditional Medical Knowledge, the announcement is made as follows:
Article 1 Give cannabis or cannabis extract which is a plant in the genus Cannabis is a controlled herb
Clause 2 is permitted for persons aged 20 years and over to possess, utilize, take care of, maintain, move can sell controlled herbs under item 1, except for the following actions:
(1) Public use by smoking
(2) Use for pregnant or lactating women
(3) Distribution to persons under twenty years of age. Pregnant or lactating women
Article 3 allows a medical practitioner to Thai traditional medicine practitioner Practitioner of applied Thai traditional medicine practitioner in the field of traditional Chinese medicine and folk healers according to the law on Thai traditional medicine professions can take advantage of the controlled herbs according to item 1 to their patients
Clause 4. Patients under Clause 3 are permitted to possess, move, care for, store and utilize in the amount paid for use for thirty days.
