The government’s plea does not stand; Chancellor with new affidavit in KTUVC case

Kochi | The Kerala Technical University VC case started a final debate in the High Court. Chancellor Arif Muhammad Khan filed a new affidavit arguing that the government’s plea would not stand. The court repeated the question of who gave the name Sisa Thomas.

The chancellor’s argument is that Sisa Thomas was appointed on the basis of her excellence in academics. The chancellor also said that the appointment of Sisa was in accordance with UGC norms. He explained that it was his responsibility to find a new VC and that he did not want to clash with the government.
