Apple announced the fourth-generation Apple TV 4K on October 13, 2026, introducing hands-free Siri AI capabilities, an upgraded A19 chip, and built-in Find My support for the remote at a starting price of $299, according to reporting by The Verge.
The new streaming box arrives as the first model to support Siri AI out of the box. Preorders open on October 13, 2026, with retail availability scheduled for November 13, 2026, as reported by MacRumors.
Hardware Specifications and Pricing Changes
The fourth-generation streaming box costs $299, which is more than twice the introductory price of the prior-generation hardware and $50 higher than the current top-tier model it replaces, The Verge reported. Engadget noted that the new price point represents a $100 increase over the starting cost of the previous version.
The device comes with 128GB of storage, an Ethernet port, and support for Thread and Matter, while upgrading connectivity to Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6, according to The Verge. MacRumors added that the hardware features a rear HDMI 2.1 port and a Gigabit Ethernet port.
Apple’s press release specified that the A19 chip delivers up to 50 percent faster CPU performance and up to twice the GPU performance of the previous generation. The chip also includes a dedicated AV1 decoder for efficient streaming.
Siri AI Integration and Personal Context
Powered by the next generation of Apple Intelligence, Siri AI processes requests through a full-screen interface or text bubbles for general knowledge queries, according to Apple’s press release. Engadget reported that answers appear in the corner of the screen to avoid blocking video content.

The device includes three far-field microphones for hands-free voice commands, alongside advanced echo cancellation that isolates user voices during audio playback, as detailed in Apple’s press release. MacRumors noted that users can still use the dedicated microphone and Siri button on the updated remote.
The system incorporates personal context pulled from Apple Intelligence-capable iPhones, allowing users to issue natural language commands such as Play that show my friend texted me,
according to The Verge.
At launch, Siri AI will be available in beta in English across eight countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, and India, The Verge reported. Apple’s press release stated that customer preorders open in the United States and 29 other regions on October 13, 2026.
Expanded Home Theater Sound and Find My Remote
The new Apple TV 4K introduces support for pairing up to four HomePod speakers for surround sound, an expansion from the previous two-speaker limit, according to The Verge. Compatible configurations include four second-generation HomePods, four HomePod Mini 2 speakers, or mixed pairs of both models. Apple’s press release noted that the HomePod Mini 2 was also announced at $149.

The paired speakers automatically calibrate with the streaming box to assess room geometry and tune audio levels accordingly, The Verge reported. This feature remains exclusive to the fourth-generation Apple TV 4K.
The bundled Siri Remote gains Find My integration with Precision Finding and an audio-paging feature, allowing users to locate misplaced hardware via an iPhone or voice commands, according to MacRumors and Engadget. The remote retains its physical design and USB-C charging port.
Preorders open on October 13, 2026, and units will arrive in retail stores on November 13, 2026, as confirmed by Apple’s press release.
