The official version of Unreal Engine 5 is released, and the game works will be released at least in 2023. It advertises that the difference between the game and the movie screen is greatly reduced, and the developer work process is reduced (175321)

At present, it will take some time for game works created with Unreal Engine 5 to enter the market. For example, “Black Myth: Wukong”, which has been advertised with Unreal Engine 5 for a long time, will not be officially launched until at least 2023. Confirmed by CD Projekt Red, the new “Witcher” series will be built with the Unreal Engine 5 game engine, but the launch time has not yet been determined.

Unreal Engine 5, which has previously provided a preview version to developers, is now announcing the official version to all developers, and advertises that it is easier to build photo-real 3D scenes, and it can also help developers easily create open-world architecture games.

As previously presented in “The Matrix Awakens”, EPIC Games emphasized that Unreal Engine 5 will be able to correspond to more realistic 3D image rendering effects, and correspond to more realistic light and shadow refraction vision, while also using artificial Wisdom automatically assists in the production of 3D scenes, allowing more developers to create game works with an open world architecture.

In addition, through the built-in character and animation toolset, developers can create 3D character content faster, and directly apply it to the game scene, while also optimizing the operation interface and workflow, thereby reducing the overall production cost time. In the sound part, it is also designed with a system called MetaSounds, so that the sound content can be presented with a more realistic sound field effect in conjunction with the rendered image.

In the 3D portrait effect section, Unreal Engine 5 claims to be able to correspond to more realistic expressions, and to interpret more realistic hair dynamics or facial fine lines.

However, it will still take a while for game works announced to be created with Unreal Engine 5 to enter the market. For example, “Black Myth: Wukong”, which has been advertised as produced with Unreal Engine 5, will not be officially launched until at least 2023. The new “Witcher” series, which was recently confirmed by CD Projekt Red to be built on the Unreal Engine 5 game engine, has not yet been confirmed.
