Today, the manifestation “Prayer for the Homeland of Bosnia and Herzegovina” was held in the monument “Ljiljan” above Gradačac in the presence of a large number of believers.

This time, the mufti of Tuzla delivered the sermon Vahid-him. Fazlovićand he said that, by participating in prayers for the homeland of Bosnia and Herzegovina, we confirm our awareness of the fundamental, essential value of faith, of the need to take care of the homeland.

“I would like to remind you that at the same time and with the same motives, as we are here in Posavina, our brothers and sisters are studying prayer in Podrinje, in one of the oldest Bosnian mosques in Kušlat, which for more than five hundred years is reflected in the waterfalls of the capricious river Drina. From these and many other Bosnian heights, from our musallas and dovištas, we want to watch over the borders and values of our good country, where every honest person has always found a safe home.”said the mufti.

He said that “our heroes, with God’s help, defended and saved Bosnia and Herzegovina from aggression where countless serious crimes were committed, and the genocide against Bosniaks, the most serious crime”, and added that “this is a lesson permanent for everyone. from us to protect our country responsibly and with great determination and will, to build it with all our strength.”

He assessed that these are tasks, the fulfillment of which can have a decisive effect on awakening optimism and strengthening the spirit of the people.

The monument was built on the initiative and organization of the Association of Fighters “Patriotska League” Gradačac, led by the president Tasim Okić.

“This monument was intended to testify to the defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina and to all the defenders. It is very important to remember all those who gave their lives for the motherland”, Okic said.
