The rain has decreased and the heat in the North has returned

On the night of April 24, thunderstorms are forecast to continue in the Northern region, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An. Common rainfall is 10-40mm, with some places having heavy rain over 60mm.

People continue to be wary of the possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds. Localized heavy rain can cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on slopes and flooding in low-lying areas.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that on April 25, rain decreased completely, temperatures increased sharply in the North with the highest temperature of 32-34 degrees Celsius, in some places above 35 degrees Celsius.

In the area from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen, the heat also increased at the highest level of 35-38 degrees Celsius, in some places above 39 degrees Celsius.

Since April 26, temperatures continue to increase rapidly in Northwestern provinces and cities. The area is extremely hot, some places are extremely hot with the highest temperature of 35-37 degrees Celsius, some places are over 39 degrees Celsius.

The meteorological agency warns that on the first day of the upcoming holiday (April 27), heat will spread throughout the North and increase in intensity in the Central and Northwest regions. These areas are more likely to experience 5 days of holidays with hot, uncomfortable weather.

When playing outdoors in high heat, people should be careful to choose comfortable, airy, sweat-absorbent clothes, and avoid dark clothes that easily absorb heat. At the same time, people should avoid prolonged activities during peak heat hours (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.), which can cause dehydration, exhaustion, and heat stroke.

According to experts, from now until May 20 is still the season change period, dangerous weather phenomena such as thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning, and hail can greatly affect production and people’s daily activities.
