The secret of Kim Hyun-joo’s Trolley was finally revealed

In ‘Trolley’, two different events develop side by side, as if they were similar to the past and the present.

SBS Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Trolley’ heightens mystery with unpredictable developments that repeat shocks and twists every time. In particular, the previous history of Kim Hye-joo (played by Kim Hyun-joo), which had aroused curiosity, removed the veil and faced a new era. This drew more attention as it showed a similar trend to the digital sex crime case involving Nam Joong-do (played by Park Hee-soon) earlier, as the ‘parallel theory’.

That day was the day Jin Seung-ho (Lee Min-jae), the twin brother of Jin Seung-hee (Ryu Hyun-kyung), was notified of his acceptance into a prestigious law school. At the time, Jin Seung-ho had a one-sided crush on Jin Seung-hee’s best friend, Kim Hye-joo, and lost his temper when he told her not to visit him again. Knowing this, the twins’ mother, Lee Yoo-shin (played by Gil Hae-yeon), promised them a college scholarship in exchange for their sympathy. However, Kim Hye-joo went to the police station and reported what happened to her. And that night, Jin Seung-ho took his own life.

As Kim Hye-joo’s hidden past came to the surface, viewers remembered the incident that started with the suicide news of ‘Namgung-sol’ at the beginning of the drama. After breaking up with her boyfriend, she was threatened with sharing a private video, but the arrest warrant was denied because the suspect was a medical student at a prestigious university. The situation did not change even after the victim died by extreme choice due to repeated threats. At the time, in the news that appeared to clarify and apologize for various controversies and doubts, Namjungdo mentioned this case, encouraging attention to the damage of digital sexual violence. After that day, he poured accusations and criticism towards the suspect ‘Ji Seung-gyu’, and he also took his own life.

Looking back, “There are things that no one would even imagine would happen. Kim Hye-joo’s narrative, “something nobody intended, but sometimes happens, we call it an ‘accident'”, refers to everything she experienced 20 years ago and something that has to replay before her eyes over the years. . Only the method was slightly different, Kim Hye-joo and Namgung-sol were unjust victims of sex crimes. On the other hand, Ji Seung-gyu and Jin Seung-ho, who were given the title of prestigious university students, were cowardly criminals who tried to cover the truth with lies and silence. Fearing that they would be stigmatized as ex-offenders, they chose to commit suicide, causing more wounds and sadness to those left behind.

Above all, it is also an important point that it was an event that caused the couple Kim Hye-joo and Nam Jung-do to face a ‘conundrum’. The righteous choice of Kim Hye-joo, and the righteous choice of Namjung-do, returned to others the pain of losing their family, and they were accidentally framed as ‘murderers’. With the awakening of Kim Hye-joo’s long-term trauma and the fact that Ji Seung-gyu circulated Namgung-sol’s video during his lifetime, attention is focused on how the two ongoing cases will be resolved.

Meanwhile, the SBS Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Trolley’ is broadcast every Monday and Tuesday at 10:00pm.
