A suspected factory photo shoot of the 8.5-generation Volkswagen Golf has been leaked, and the exterior details have been fully exposed.

According to photos of the 8.5-generation Golf leaked on social media, the facelift’s appearance changes are mainly focused on the front of the car, including the replacement of a new style of headlight set, and an LED light bar connection with a glowing factory emblem to form a through-style style. The air intake dam and trim strips on the lower bumper have also been updated, and the GTI model has a red light bar to present a dynamic atmosphere.

The front of the car is replaced with a new headlight set, and the front bumper shape is more sporty.

As for the interior, the original manufacturer has previously announced the direction of changes, including the steering wheel abandoning the capacitive touch quick dial button, returning to the embrace of physical buttons, and replacing it with a larger central control screen. Depending on the model, there are 12.9-inch and 15-inch inch screen selection, and maintains a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument panel, making the cabin’s technological feel more prominent.

The interior has been replaced with a larger screen, and the steering wheel has returned to physical button settings.

In terms of power configuration, general models are expected to maintain the 1.0-liter and 1.5-liter turbo engine settings, and introduce a 48V light petrol-electric system, while performance-oriented models such as the GTI and R will still be configured with a 2.0-liter turbo engine, but foreign media speculated on the performance. It is expected to be further optimized, and there will be no manual transmission option after the facelift.
