Jeju is hit by the coldest wave this winter, and the temperature is dropping further, so you need to take care of your health.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, heavy snow warnings are in place in the mountains of Jeju and heavy snow warnings are in place in the central mountains of Jeju.

There may be areas where it snows in Jeju until the morning of the 19th due to the influence of the cloud belt created by the temperature difference between cold air and the warm surface of the sea in the West Sea.

Snowfall of 1 to 3 cm per hour will fall mainly in mountainous areas, and thunder and lightning accompanied by gusts of wind will blow in areas where snow cloud belts are strongly developed.

Snow is expected to fall between 1 and 5 cm along the Jeju coast until the morning of the 19th, and 3 to 8 cm in areas other than the coast. More than 15 cm of snow is expected in many places, including mountainous areas.

The strong wind warning, which took effect as strong winds of 35 to 60 km per hour in Jeju, is expected to be lifted tonight.

As cold air flows in from the north-west, temperatures will be lower than this morning’s low (18th) of minus 2 to 0 degrees and daytime highs of 3 to 5 degrees until the 20th.

As the temperature drops below freezing while the snow and rain that has fallen on Jeju has not dried, there are concerns about icy roads everywhere.

Even if there is not a lot of snow and it is not controlled, there are patches of ice along the road, so you have to drive safely.
