The prestigious Times Young Creative Awards 2023 took place on June 19 in Chengdu, sponsored by Chengdu Media Group and Want Want China Times Media Group. Organized by the Chengdu New East Exhibition and Organizing Committee, the event showcased the best of young creativity in various fields.

The highlight of the awards ceremony was the announcement of the winners for the “Digital Creation and Talk About Chengdu” Design Award. A striking piece of jewelry named “The Golden Bird as a Gift in Chengdu” won the gold medal. The design, created by Yang Yulin, Wang Jiyuan, Yu Xiaohan, and Wang Xinhui from the Sino-British College of Digital Media Arts at Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts, incorporated cultural elements of Chengdu such as ancient gold leaf and the Sun Bird.

Another remarkable work, the “Creation Gift Box of Guanghua, Shu” by Lai Yu Yin from Shixin University, received a monetary medal. This design creatively integrated the iconic Chengdu 339 Tianfu Panda Tower into the gift box concept. Zhou Juxin from Sichuan Normal University was awarded the bronze medal for his video “Cyber Shu,” which beautifully depicted the vibrant life of Chengdu.

Focus on Digital Creation and Chengdu’s Cultural Identity

The “Digitally Create and Talk About Chengdu” design award comprised two categories: digital image design for city promotion and the creative work “Chengdu Gift.” These awards aimed to emphasize the importance of preserving Chengdu’s cultural heritage and promoting it through digital platforms. These designs are considered the intellectual property of Chengdu Digital Cultural Creation.

Future Opportunities for Winners
