Sleep is truly an essential element for health and survival. Also for this reason, various products that help you sleep are always in the spotlight.

The problem is each individual’s sleeping habits. Small habits during sleep can reduce the quality of sleep, increase fatigue and reduce the quality of life. Let’s discover three sleep habits that need to be corrected.

▲ Lie down and sleep

This is the posture that experts always mention when choosing a bad posture for sleeping. The chest and abdomen are crushed by body weight, which reduces breathing efficiency and also increases the risk of developing wrinkles or acne on the side of the cheek that touches the floor. Because you fall asleep with your neck bent excessively to one side, you are more likely to suffer from neck or shoulder pain the next day.

When you breathe through your mouth, the efficiency of the exchange between oxygen and carbon dioxide decreases. This reduces the quality of sleep and is the main cause of increased fatigue the next day. In the long term, your concentration and memory may decrease and you may suffer from headaches. In the case of growing children, their habits must be urgently corrected as they can cause facial asymmetries or dental malocclusions.

There are many people who fall asleep with a video or radio playing. However, this habit should be avoided as it can reduce the quality of sleep and increase blood pressure. If your bedroom is adjacent to a street, it’s also a good idea to use earplugs.

However, there are days when it is difficult to fall asleep without constant noise. In this case, it’s best to play a video or classical music and go to sleep, but set the playback device to turn off automatically after you go to sleep.
