Tiburones de La Guaira once again deployed a great offensive yesterday and defeated Bravos de Margarita 12-5 at the Universitario to secure their place in the final of the 2023-2024 season.

In the third inning, Luis Sardiñas brought two for the Braves with a home run between center and left field with Moisés Gómez in circulation.

La Guaira responded quickly with a very productive fourth inning. A double by Luis Torrens to open the inning and six singles combined for Tiburones to put the game 6-2 in favor.

Braves scored in the fifth with a pair of scores. Moisés Gómez would bring Margarita closer by hitting a solo home run to left field in the sixth that made the game 6-5.

The coastal offense exploded again in the eighth with a five-man rally that put everything under control. Sacrifice flies by Ehire Adrianza and Leonardo Reginatto brought one each, Maikel García drove in another with a single and Yasiel Puig rounded off the inning with a two-run home run.

Franklin Barreto put more distance in the ninth with a solo home run that brought the number 12 of La Guaira.

Tiago Da Silva was the winner with 1.1 innings of work and one run allowed. Edgar Torres was the loser, allowing five runs in 3.1 innings.

With this victory, La Guaira left its record at 10-1 and guaranteed its ticket to its second consecutive final. Bravos got complicated and was now 4-7 in fourth place, a game and a half ahead of second.
