Tim David: Royal Challengers Bangalore | Tim David set to become first Singapore international cricketer to play in IPL

Bangalore: Royal Challengers Bangalore have signed a contract with Singapore’s batsman Tim David. Tim David, who has Australian roots, is currently playing for Singapore.

The 6-foot-5-inch-tall Tim David has scored 558 runs in 14 international appearances for Singapore. The strike rate is 158. Tim David, who has played in the Big Bash League in Australia and the Super League in Pakistan, has scored 1171 runs at a strike rate of 155.

David’s performance on the field for the Hobart Hurricanes and the Perth Soccer at the Big Bash was notable. David has excelled at the Hundred Tournament in England and the Royal London Cup.

Virat Kohli is likely to include Tim David in the squad. David is the first Singaporean to sign a contract in the IPL. Adam Samba has been replaced by Sri Lanka all – rounder Vanindu Hazarenga and pace bowler Dushmantha Chameera. The second phase of the IPL will start on September 19 in the UAE.
