Stormy Storms Expected in Dalmatia

Traffic Disruptions Due to Rain and Wet Roads

Rain and wet roads are slowing down traffic in most parts of the country. The Croatian Auto Club (HAK) has reported that traffic accidents are also slowing down traffic. HAK has urged drivers to adapt their speed and driving style to road conditions and to keep a safe distance between vehicles.

Early Warning System Alerts

Messages were sent to the citizens of four counties through the Early Warning and Emergency Management System – SRUUK. For the area of Istria and the County of Primorje-Gorski Kotar, a warning message was sent for a severe thunderstorm in the evening and Monday night, with possible stormy winds, heavy showers, heavy rain, and hail.

Better Weather Expected Tomorrow

According to meteorologist Tomislava Hojsak, the rain on the mainland will stop already on Tuesday. Wednesday should be sunny, but with a cooler morning. Already on Thursday, new clouds and rain will arrive, with a northerly wind and a noticeable drop in temperature.
