[이데일리 스타in 임정우 기자] Tottenham Hotspur (England), who missed Son Heung-min (29) due to an injury, drew a draw in the first match of the UEFA Europa Conference League group stage for the 2021-2022 season.

Tottenham Hotspur drew 2-2 in the first leg of Group G against Stade Rennes (France) at the Loison Parc in Rennes, France on the morning of the 17th (Korean time). Tottenham Hotspur are in second place in the group behind NS Mura (Slovenia) and Pittesser (Netherlands), who won 2-0 away on the road.

Son Heung-min, who injured his right calf during the national team call-up, did not play that day. Heung-min Son, Eric Dier and Ryan Sessegnon, who are recovering from injuries, did not accompany Tottenham at all.

In addition to these, Giovanni Rosselso, Christian Romero (above Argentina) and Davinson Sanchez (Colombia), who did not immediately enter England after participating in the 2022 World Cup South America qualifiers in Qatar, and stayed in Croatia did not participate in the match.

Tottenham Hotspur scored the first goal despite difficult circumstances. In the 11th minute of the first half, a cross by Lucas Moura hit the foot of the opposing defender Roic Bade, leading to an own goal.

Tottenham’s lead did not last long. Tottenham equalized Flavian Te in the 23rd minute of the first half. Tottenham faced a crisis by conceding another goal to Ren in the 27th minute of the second half. However, Tottenham did not collapse. In the 31st minute of the second half, Pierre-Emil Hoybier calmly shook Ren’s net to balance the match.

Tottenham hit Ren’s goal for three points. However, the long-awaited goal did not come and the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
