Tovino Thomas Wins Best Actor Award at Porto International Film Festival and Continues to Shine in Malayalam Cinema

Tovino Thomas is an actor who shines in Malayalam as an actor and as a star. Tovino was named Best Actor at the Porto International Film Festival. His performance in the film Adrishya Jhalakaman directed by Doctor Biju was award winning. This is the first time that an Indian film has reached the final round and won an award at the Porto International Film Festival. No Indian film has managed to achieve this feat in its 44-year history. Tovino won the award beating more than 40 films from different countries.

This is Tovino’s second international award this year. Tovino also won the Septimius Award for Best Asian Actor last year. Tovinok won the award for his performance in the 2018 film. With this, Tovinok achieved the incredible feat of winning two international awards in one year.

The actor is currently acting in Empuraan directed by Prithviraj. The shooting of Emburaan is happening in many foreign countries like the UK and the US. This is the second part of Lucifer released in 2019. Tovino’s new film is Nadikaar directed by Jean Paul Lal. The film will hit theaters on May 9.
