The new queens of the Girardot municipality toured several streets of the Bolívar Avenue, where they were applauded by the citizens.

Approximately 26 floats of different emblematic and iconic representations for the citizens and 78 groups between brotherhoods, comparsas, bandas shows and other organizations, were concentrated in the vicinity of the Bolívar de Maracay square, to transit until they reached the San Jacinto Fair Park.

The central float, with a large image of the Patron Saint, led the parade that included the participation of Mauriany Osta, queen of San José; Ithaly Mayora, Queen of Sport; Crisleidy Rico, Queen of Tourism and Britney Wiedemanm, Queen of Culture. In addition, the mini warblers and queens in the “Teen” category, who gave sweets to passers-by.

At the height of the La Barraca sector, they set up a stage with various authorities such as Rafael Morales, mayor of Girardot and Cinzia Machín de Morales, first lady, who shared with the participants of this activity.

“It is the beginning of a new scheme of our fairs. Recover many things that for various factors had been suspended. I think next year’s parade has to be much bigger. Set goals day by day ”, highlighted the highest municipal authority.

The floats and groups continued with the citizens to the San Jacinto Fair Park to culminate the celebration of San José Day that will continue today with a mass.

“CONTINUE WORKING”

Morales stressed that he will continue his work to improve public services in the Girardot communities, so that citizens can live with permanent water, paved streets, among other benefits that families deserve.

“We ask for confidence today, March 19, the day of the Patron Saint, we must ask our people of Maracay to continue to have confidence that we do not rest day and night in the consolidation of public services. Much remains to be done, but the call that together we build the city we want”, commented the mayor of Maracay and Choroní.

SOURCE RECOVERED

The mayor of Maracay asserted that it was important to recover the parade, since it has been a tradition for citizens for many years.

He reported that the fountain with the image of San José, located in the San Jacinto area, was restored in a joint effort with the regional Executive.

“Since that March 5, those 322 years of our city, we consider that we have deepened cultural and recreational activities. We had our National Zebu Fair, an extraordinary reign, recovering the bands by sectors. The name maracayero is deeply important for us to recover it”, emphasized the mayor.
