Serbia’s Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Resigns After Tragic Accident
Serbia’s Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Goran Vesić, has resigned following the tragic accident in Novi Sad that resulted in the loss of 14 lives. In a public address from the Serbian Government building, Vesić stated that he was submitting his resignation as a responsible individual, although he does not feel guilty for the incident.
Vesić explained that he chose not to publicly announce his intention to resign earlier out of respect for the victims and their families.
According to Vesić, he immediately submitted his resignation on the day of the accident and verbally informed the Prime Minister and the President of Serbia of his decision.
Vesić emphasized that he will officially submit his resignation the following morning and reiterated that he does not feel responsible or guilty for the tragic event.
