The distressing episode unfolded on June 26, when authorities were alerted and rushed to the scene. Upon their arrival, they discovered the baby unresponsive, prompting immediate attempts at resuscitation. Despite their desperate efforts, the child tragically succumbed, and doctors at the hospital confirmed the devastating news upon arrival.

Facing inquiries regarding the baby’s untimely demise, the mother initially denied any knowledge of the events. However, post-mortem examination results shed new light on the situation during the subsequent interrogation. Shockingly, high levels of fennel were found in the baby’s system, indicating a direct link between its ingestion and the fatal outcome. The post-mortem report revealed a shocking amount of drugs in the baby’s body, equivalent to what would typically be lethal for ten individuals.

As discrepancies emerged between the mother’s statement and the official findings, she eventually confessed to the crime following further questioning. She acknowledged being excessively fatigued on the day of the incident and confessed to attempting to drug herself in order to attain some much-needed rest. Tragically, she mistakenly mixed drugs, believing them to be cocaine, with her baby’s food. Consequently, she now faces charges of murder, pending legal proceedings.
