President Donald Trump met with his national security team Wednesday for the second consecutive day to discuss a potential U.S. military strike against Iran.the meeting occurred as tensions escalate between Iran and Israel.
Trump told reporters Wednesday morning that he remains undecided on authorizing a strike. “I may do it, I may not do it,” he said, adding, “nobody knows what I’m going to do.” he suggested Iran is seeking negotiations.
Meanwhile, the Trump administration is preparing for potential large-scale evacuations of American citizens from Israel, according to U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee. he said Wednesday that evacuation flights and cruise ship departures are being arranged.
Trump also claimed Iranian officials have requested a meeting at the White House, a claim disputed by Iranian officials. “They asked if they could come,” Trump said.”We’ll see if that happens. It’s not that easy for them to come. They can’t get out.”
Earlier Wednesday, Iran’s Ayatollah Ali khamenei threatened the U.S. with “irreparable damage” if it attacks Iranian nuclear facilities.
the International Atomic Energy Agency reported Wednesday that two Iranian nuclear centrifuge production facilities were hit amid the ongoing conflict. Iran and Israel have been exchanging missile fire as Friday, following what Israel called a preemptive strike on Iranian nuclear and military sites. The U.S. role in the conflict remains a key question.

Trump warned Tuesday that U.S.patience was “wearing thin,” reiterating that the U.S. does not want missiles fired at civilians or American soldiers, but aims for Iran’s “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!”
What’s next
The world awaits President Trump’s decision regarding potential military action, as the U.S.balances its role as an ally of Israel with the potential consequences of direct intervention in the escalating conflict with Iran.
