Streaming platforms are rolling out a fresh slate of new shows and movies this weekend, offering viewers a mix of original series, returning favorites and theatrical releases across major services including Netflix, HBO, Prime Video, Apple TV, and more.

Among the highlights is the second season of “Running Point,” the Netflix sports comedy starring Kate Hudson as the president of a professional basketball team. Created by Mindy Kaling, the series returns with Octavia Spencer, Brenda Song, and Drew Tarver reprising their roles in the ensemble cast.

Also premiering on Netflix is “Apex,” an R-rated action thriller set in the Australian wilderness. Starring Charlize Theron and Taron Egerton, the 96-minute film follows a deadly hunter tracking his prey through harsh terrain, described as both intense and suitable for background viewing.

Netflix further debuts “Unchosen,” a psychological thriller limited series starring Asa Butterfield of “Sex Education” fame. The show centers on a woman trapped in a mysterious group called the “Fellowship of the Divine” who encounters an escaped convict, triggering a dangerous unraveling of secrets and cult dynamics.

HBO introduces “Half Man,” a new series from the creator of the acclaimed “Baby Reindeer.” The show makes its debut this weekend as part of the platform’s ongoing slate of original dramas.

In the animated space, Prime Video launches “Kevin,” an adult-oriented series voiced by Aubrey Plaza. The show follows the misadventures of a talking cat and is aimed at mature audiences seeking animated comedy with an edge.

For fans of the “Stranger Things” universe, Netflix is streaming “Stranger Things: Tales from ’85,” an animated series set between the events of seasons two and three of the live-action show. The expansion explores untold stories from the 1980s Hawkins timeline.

In theaters, audiences can see “Michael,” a music biopic chronicling the life and legacy of the King of Pop. The film joins a growing list of music-driven biographical pictures hitting cinemas this spring.

“Sullivan’s Crossing” returns for its fourth season on television. The family-friendly drama, rated TV-PG, continues to follow the lives of residents in a small Colorado town as they navigate personal and communal challenges.

This weekend’s lineup reflects a broad range of genres, from intense thrillers and sports comedies to animated series and music biopics, giving subscribers multiple options across platforms whether they prefer to stream at home or visit the cinema.
