Former Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin emphasized that even if the United States and Germany agree to Ukraine joining NATO, this will not solve anything. During a broadcast on Liga.net, he explained that there are many “weirdos” in the Alliance who do not support our state’s membership.
“Among them is not only Orban, but there is, for example, Erdogan and many others who are very far from “yes” and very close to “no”,” Klimkin said.
Moreover, he doubts that the next NATO summit, due to take place in Washington, will be a breakthrough for Ukraine. The politician explains this by saying that the Alliance “is now in a situation where it needs to decide on the fundamental issue of its presence in the Indo-Pacific region.”
“Therefore, at the summit they will consider our chances and our role through this prism,” he concluded.

Let us remember that President Vladimir Zelensky said that NATO is the most powerful option for Ukraine. But we are not invited to the Alliance, and the guarantor called all the “signals” that are sent to Kyiv nonsense.
