United legend: Manchester City is a boring team and they destroyed the Champions League

Manchester United legend Gary Neville believes that traditional rival Manchester City has completely destroyed the Champions League in recent times.

Manchester City won the Champions League title last season, and its campaign in the current edition is going excellently, as it put one foot forward in the quarter-finals of the tournament by defeating Copenhagen 3-1 last Tuesday in the first leg of the round of 16.

Neville spoke to the “Stick to Football” program on the “Sky Bet” network about his feeling of boredom with City’s dominance of the tournament, and he said during his speech: “I did not watch the Manchester City match on Tuesday night. I was a little bored.”

He added: “I saw a post from a Liverpool fan saying that he watched all of Manchester United’s matches with Sir Alex Ferguson in the Champions League, because there was a feeling that there was excitement in one way or another whether the team won or lost.”

He continued: “You cannot watch Manchester City because they destroyed the tournament. Calling them a boring team would be wrong because they play great football, but in reality I find them boring and I found it difficult to watch them.”

It is worth noting that coach Pep Guardiola’s team is preparing to face Chelsea in a new match in the English Premier League, tomorrow, Saturday, aspiring to topple Liverpool, the leaders, two points behind City, second, and Arsenal, third.
