Unveiling the Mysterious Past: What Was Jalata’s Original Form
Jal’atath: Unveiling the Mysteries of the Void
1. Jal’atath: A Messenger of the Void?
Jal’atath’s true nature has sparked intense debate among fans. While some believe he is an ancient god, others think he might be a messenger of the void. Considering the ancient gods can be seen as messengers of the void forces, it’s possible that Jal’atath’s role is not as significant as he claims.
Jal’atath was sealed in a single dagger, despite the presence of the Old Gods for a long time. If he is the most important messenger and long-term pawn of the Void, it’s unlikely that the Old Gods would have neglected him to achieve a greater cause.
Now that all the Elder Gods are dead, it’s possible that Jal’atath is still called a “herald” because he is the last remaining high-ranking Void official on the planet. It’s also possible that Jal’atath was originally an Old God or an Old God-level being in the Black Empire, but was sealed away in a power struggle between the Old Gods before the arrival of the Titans in Azeroth.
2. The Power of Black Blood
In a recent cinematic, Jal’atath mentioned that black blood was his strength. This also means that it is a power that he must take possession of, and it could be seen as his own original strength.
The moment he thought he would recover the power of the blood he shed in the war between the ancient gods, it sparked an interesting connection to the stained glass bait of Ulduar.
The stained glass bait bears a resemblance to Elune’ahir’s torn-off original body that stretches all the way to Kaz’algar. However, Jal’atath was already sealed before the Titans arrived, making the connection to Elune’ahir seem weak.
3. Jal’atath’s Early Days in Azeroth
Considering the existence of the stained glass to be that of the (quasi) ancient god, Jal’atath, who had the title of ‘herald’, it’s interesting to speculate about his early days in Azeroth.
The chronicles list the names of the ancient gods above the places where they seem to have taken root. The territories of the spirit lords are their own territories, so they were not invaded by the ancient gods.
The location where Kaz Algar, who is recovering his blood, is likely to be is the yellow spot. The early sphere of influence of Jal’atath is estimated to be around red.
It’s possible that Jal’atath was nearby, bled, and was sealed. However, since Jal’atath is a character that will last until midnight, it seems like his final form won’t come out anytime soon.
