URUMQI, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) — Urumqi City Culture and Tourism Bureau. Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, northwest China Urumqi is said to welcome 100 million tourists in 2023, a record high.

Reports show that the city Urumqi which is the capital of Xinjiang Earn more than 100 billion yuan (about 490 billion baht) from tourism in 2023, which is also higher than ever.

Urumqi is expected to establish 41 new homestays in 2023, bringing the total number of homestays to 324, as well as hosting more than 12,000 cultural events and hundreds of concerts, dances and children’s plays.

Furthermore, the above operations together with the development of a comprehensive transport network including highways, railways and airports have promoted convenient travel and efficient logistics.
