A few days ago, three American soldiers were killed and dozens injured in a drone attack by a pro-Iranian armed group on a US military base in northern Jordan.

At the time, questions were raised about why the US air defense network failed to properly defend itself and was attacked.

It was early in the morning on the 28th that a pro-Iranian militia drone approached the US military base ‘Tower 22’.

At that moment, the US military drone was returning to base after completing its mission. Friendly and enemy drones were mixed together, causing confusion in the US military’s air defense network.

“American officers explain that they were able to attack because they expected the enemy drones to land at the same time as the American drones. The air defenses mistook the enemy drones for American drones and did not fire.”

The Islamic Resistance, a loose coalition of armed groups in Iraq backed by Iran, claimed responsibility for attacks on four US military bases along the Jordanian-Syrian border.

They said they launched the attack to resist the US occupation forces in Iraq and to respond to the massacre that took place in the Gaza Strip.

“The perpetrators behind this attack are believed to be militias supported by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard. Traces of Kataib Hezbollah can also be found. However, no final assessment has been made.”

Kataib Hezbollah, formed by Iran to drive out American troops during the 2003 Iraq War, is considered the most powerful organization among the Islamic Resistance.

US Pentagon officials said they found no evidence that Iran had ordered the attack from behind.

However, another government official said that an Iranian-made drone appeared to have been used in this attack, and assumed it was a type of Shahed drone, US CBS reported.
