USA destroy last chemical weapons stocks

It is a milestone of the Chemical Weapons Convention: The United States has destroyed its last stockpile. According to a top US senator, the United States has destroyed the last stockpile of its chemical weapons. This was announced by the Republican Senate Minority Leader, Mitch McConnell, on Friday. This means that the last of the officially known highly toxic warfare agents in the USA have been eliminated – a milestone a good 26 years after the Chemical Weapons Convention came into force.
