Valimai postponed: Kovid restrictions; The release of Ajith’s ‘Valimai’ has also been postponed

The Tamil film ‘Valimai’ starring Ajith Kumar is one of the films that has been delayed due to the increase in Kovid cases in the country. Bollywood films like Shahid Kapoor starrer Jersey, Akshay Kumar’s Suryavanshi, Rajamouli’s RRR from Telugu and Prabhas’ multilingual film Radhe Shyam have been postponed. There were reports that Valimai’s release may have to be extended after Kovid tightened restrictions in Tamil Nadu yesterday. But now the official announcement has been made.

After a gap of two and a half years, Valimai was Ajith Kumar’s most anticipated film. During Kovid’s time, Ajith’s fans even campaigned on Twitter and outside for new updates on the film. The film, which was slated to release on the 13th of this month, has been announced as an extension. The Valimai team said in a statement that they were also looking forward to the theatrical experience of the fans but decided to extend the release for their own safety in the face of increasing Kovid cases. Announce a new release date only after the situation returns to normal.

Valimai is Ajith’s upcoming film after Nerkonda Parvai which was released in 2019. The film is directed by H Vinod, the director of Nerkonda Parvai. Ajith will be seen in a police role after a hiatus. This is Ajith’s police character who comes after Ennai Arinthal. The film is also very important for action scenes including bike stunts. The film is produced by Bonnie Kapoor in association with Sea Studios.
