Venezuelan film “The Shadow of the Sun” wins the 41st. Miami Festival

The film, premiered last year at the emblematic TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood at the Los Angeles Latin Film Festival (Laliff), is a production co-produced by Venezuela and the United States, made in 18 days on the Venezuelan plains with the savings of its director and with the power of a Creole team.

“The Shadow of the Sun” tells the sensitive story of Alex, a young deaf man who asks Leo, his estranged older brother, to join him in a musical competition. Crystallizing his dream through the voice of his older brother is a challenge that tests his abilities, his perseverance and resilience in a chaotic country and a society not suitable for inclusion.
