Amiens Achieves Decisive Win Against Villejuif
This past Saturday, Amiens secured a significant victory over Villejuif with a score of 0-3. This win is a crucial rebound after their defeat in the Coupe de France fédérale. It also allows them to approach the play-downs leading their group with nine points.
Domination on the Court
In a controlled match, AMVB demonstrated authority to distance themselves from their opponents. Though, Ali Nouaour admitted that his team had some apprehension about this away game. Historically, the samarians have often faced challenges in Villejuif, possibly boosting the confidence of the home team despite their previous 3-0 loss in the frist leg. Similar to their initial encounter in December, Amiens won the first set (19-25), even though the match started at 8:30 PM, a late hour for the Picards. Despite initially trailing, Ali Nouaour’s team elevated their game to regain the lead.
An Extended Second Set
riding the momentum from their first-set victory, the Samarians continued to pressure Villejuif at the start of the second set.”On déroule un petit peu.
Thanks to this strategic timeout, the Amiens coach and his team regrouped and faced Villejuif head-on. Despite a slight stumble mid-set, the Samarians won the second set (34-36) due to their fighting spirit.
On n’a jamais paniquéali Nouaour, AMVB Coach
In the third set, Ali Nouaour’s men “entre guillemets plutôt bien géré même si effectivement eux n’ont rien lâché” (managed rather well, even though they didn’t give up).Ultimately, AMVB won the third set (22-25).Following this victory, the Samarian technician highlighted the excellent performance of his second libero. (We had a great performance, especially from Romain Leméré, who stepped in to support Mihail Corabieru due to a slight knee issue. We decided to field Romain, and he instantly took the lead with great receptions and defenses…A match like this could have been a trap game, but he played the match he needed to reassure his teammates in both reception and defense.)”
AMVB concluded the first phase of the championship with a victory, allowing them to “démarrer les plays-downs avec neuf points.on va démarrer premier des plays-downs. We will start first in the play-downs. It’s up to us to keep this top spot provided that possible and secure our survival as quickly as possible),” Ali Nouaour assured.
The Amiens team is now focusing on their upcoming matches. the Picards will face Lyon, Caudry, and Charenton in home and away games.
