North Korea has criticized President Yun Seok-yeol for attending the NATO summit.

The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) referred to President Yoon’s participation in the first NATO summit today, accusing them of saying, “The current ruling forces in South Korea are volunteering themselves to play the role of scouts and bullet receivers in NATO’s ‘Eastern Crusader Expedition’.”

North Korea’s accusations are in line with China’s point of view.

China criticizes the fact that the leaders of Asia-Pacific countries such as South Korea, Japan, New Zealand and Australia have attended the summit of NATO, the European military alliance, every day, and has argued that NATO is trying to expand its power toward Asia.

NATO is expected to intensify the conflict between NATO and China as NATO plans to discuss Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the threat of China, which has emerged as a great power, through a two-day summit starting today.

North Korea, China’s ally, is also expected to raise the level of criticism against the South Korean government as well as accusations against NATO.
