Vucic Unleashes Scathing Attack: ‘Hypocrisy and Lies Exposed’ in Trifunovic Arrest
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić Responds to Croatia’s Decision to Ban Actor Sergey Trifunović
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić has spoken out against the Croatian authorities’ decision to ban Belgrade actor Sergey Trifunović from entering Croatia for the next three months, with a fine and prison conditions.
“I wonder if you noticed that it was not news in the region. You could see all the hypocrisy and lies in the region by then. When that entertainer was detained for 15 minutes, Vučić was a ‘dictator’, and when the lawyer Nemanja Berić and the actor Sergej Trifunović were sentenced to prison, how come no one thinks to say that this is the ‘worst possible dictatorship'”said Vučić, highlighting the double standards in the region.
“We have such a false elite where auto-chauvinism reigns as the dominant ideology. We hate everything and everyone, the most in the world we have to hate Serbia and everything Serbia is do and everything that happens in Serbia. I wish Sergej Trifunović a happy return.”
Vučić also pointed out that the party of which Trifunović is a member had not responded to his arrest in Croatia, and that they had previously responded to keep the singer Severina at the border with Serbia.
“As the president of Serbia, my job, whatever Trifunović and anyone else says, my job is to protect the interests of Serbian citizens. That’s what I did and I will do that until the end of my mandate. Nothing spectacular, just something normal.”said Vucic, reaffirming his commitment to protecting the interests of Serbian citizens.
