Prosecutors have taken a special measure to seek up to the death penalty for criminals who supply drugs to teenagers.
The Supreme Prosecutors’ Office decided today (30th) to arrest and prosecute criminals who supplied drugs to teenagers, criminals who were involved in distributing drugs to teenagers, and criminals who took drugs with teenagers , and imposed the maximum death penalty by applying the enhanced penalty clause. He said he would face life in prison.
In addition, we plan to prosecute even teenagers if they build a drug supply chain or distribute medical drugs illegally.
However, it was decided to actively use prevention of indictment subject to education and treatment of the adolescent with simple drug administration.
According to the prosecution, the number of young drug offenders increased by 304% in four years from 119 in 2017 to 481 last year, which is 10 times higher than the general increase in drug offenders (30%) during the same period.
The prosecution believe that the number of teenage drug offenders has increased rapidly due to the easy access to drugs via the dark web or social media, and the price of a single dose of methamphetamine reduced to the price of a pizza.
