(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Kim Yu-ah = Woori Financial Group announced that Chairman Son Tae-seung would hold an overseas investment briefing (IR) for the first time in two years since the COVID-19 pandemic in Singapore for three days and two nights from the 17th.

This investment briefing session will be held for large asset management companies located in Singapore.

Chairman Sohn will directly explain the macroeconomic status, financial performance achieved by Woori Financial Group since becoming a holding company in 2019, ESG (environmental, social responsibility, and corporate governance improvement) and non-financial performance in the digital sector.

In particular, the company plans to actively communicate with institutional investors about the mid- to long-term vision of Woori Financial Group, which succeeded in complete privatization last year, and ways to enhance corporate value through shareholder-friendly management.

The stock price of Woori Financial Group has been showing high growth since the beginning of this year, as foreign ownership increased by more than 6 percentage points.

In Woori Financial Group, the proportion of inclusions in Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) and Financial Times Stock Exchange (FTSE), the major global indices, also increased due to the increase in the number of outstanding stocks following the complete privatization.

A Woori Financial official said, “The recent share price rise seems to reflect expectations for a significant improvement in profits.”

An official from Woori Financial said, “Following Singapore this time, we plan to hold an investment briefing session in the Americas next month.”
