World Cup: Pakistan will not play in Ahmedabad – Ahmedabad should be excluded from Pakistan’s world cup competition venues | Malayalam News, Sports News | Manorama Online

Karachi: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Najam Sethi has demanded that Ahmedabad be banned from Pakistan’s venues for the One Day Cricket World Cup in India. While the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that it will not participate in the Asia Cup if it is held in Pakistan, Pakistan has also taken a stand that it will stay away from the ODI World Cup held in India.

Yesterday, International Cricket Council (ICC) Chairman Greg Barclay and CEO Jeff Allardyce arrived in Pakistan for reconciliation talks. Sethi offered them a new demand. He is set to play in Kolkata, Chennai and Bengaluru.

Sethi reportedly said that Pakistan was not interested in playing in Ahmedabad except in the batting stage. Since India is not going to Pakistan for the Asia Cup, the Pakistan government is yet to decide whether to send the Pakistan team to India for the World Cup.
