[Rome 11th Reuters]–The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) said on the 11th that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine could raise global food and feed prices by up to about 20%.

“The global output gap could push up international food and feed prices by 8-20%,” FAO said.

According to FAO, Russia is the world’s largest wheat exporter and Ukraine is the world’s fifth largest. Barley accounts for 19%, wheat 14% and corn 4%, accounting for more than one-third of the world’s grain exports.
