Vatican City: Pope Francis has said that various countries should be prepared to accept Afghan refugees and pray for them. Referring to the Taliban’s previous restrictions, the pope said it was essential to educate the Afghan youth.
He was greeting the faithful during a prayer service in St. Petersburg. The pope is a supporter of refugees and immigrants. Qatar, Turkey, Italy and Germany have accepted thousands of refugees from Afghanistan since the Taliban took power. Many also came to Pakistan.
