World’s first AI beauty contest held… “Only 100% AI generated characters participate”

The world’s first artificial intelligence (AI) beauty pageant will be held. Only characters created 100% with AI technology can participate in the so-called “Miss AI,” hosted by an American creator platform. The total prize money is $200,000 (about 277 million won).

TMZ, an American news outlet, reported on the 16th (local time) that the ‘World AI Crater Awards (WAICA)’ will announce Miss AI on the 10th of next month. For this purpose, currently official siteApplications for candidate participation are being accepted.

Those eligible to participate are all types of AI-generated creations, such as Midjourney or Stable Diffusion. However, it must be created 100% with AI, and if the characters are different, one person can play multiple characters. Of course, the creator must be over 18 years old and active on social media.

Organizers said, “Miss AI is the world’s first AI-generated model beauty pageant presented by Fanvue. This event comes almost 200 years after the first beauty pageant was held, and represents the world’s first beauty pageant behind digital influencer personas around the world. “It’s about celebrating hidden skills and work.”

The first place prize is $13,000 (about 18 million won), which includes $5,000 in cash (about 7 million won), a mentorship program worth $3,000 (about 4.15 million won), and PR support worth more than $5,000. Second place will receive $5,000, and third place will receive $2,000 in prize money and support. The total prize money was announced to be more than $200,000.

The judges included Andrew Bloch, founder of marketing company Frank, and beauty pageant historian and author Sally-Anne Fawcett, as well as AI characters. One of them is Aitana Lopez, a Spanish AI model who was introduced to overseas media and attracted attention.

Judge Fawcett said, “Through participating in this competition, I learned a lot about the world of AI creators. It’s amazing that there is a market so big that a competition like this is possible.”

The event organizer said, “We expect thousands to tens of thousands of applications for this event.”
