XG Talks Sold-Out US ⁣Tour, New Music, and the Power of‍ ALPHAZ

K-pop sensations XG ‍are wrapping up a whirlwind year, having just completed the North American⁢ leg of ⁣thier first world tour, “The⁢ First Howl.” The seven-member girl group, known for their unique blend of R&B, hip-hop, and pop, captivated audiences across Asia before bringing their high-energy performances to sold-out venues across the U.S.

“We had so much fun [and] we met so many of our U.S. ALPHAZ and they were all dressed up with amazing cool outfits, they sang top to bottom… so much good energy from them,” member MAYA told Billboard, ⁤reflecting on the overwhelming support from their dedicated fanbase.

The group, which includes members CHISA, COCONA, HARVEY, HINATA, JURIN,⁤ MAYA, and JURIN, found the energy from their U.S. fans incredibly inspiring. ⁢”It was a nice ‘give-and-take,'” HARVEY added, explaining how the enthusiasm from the crowd fueled their⁣ performances.

XG’s setlist has evolved ‍throughout the tour, incorporating new tracks like “Undefeated,” “Woke Up,” “Something Ain’t Right,” and “IYKYK,” released throughout ⁢2024. ⁣Their latest‍ EP,⁤ Awe, dropped last month and ⁢features these new singles alongside the lead single “Howling.”

“We want each performance to be fresh and exciting,” JURIN shared, noting that even the newest songs were⁢ met with keen singalongs from ALPHAZ who already knew the lyrics and ‍choreography.

Awe itself⁤ is a sonic journey, blending R&B influences ⁢with XG’s signature upbeat dance tunes and hip-hop/pop sound.⁢ “The EP was⁢ inspired by the sense of curiosity and shock people experience ⁢when⁣ they encounter something new,” JURIN explained. “We hope that through our album you can feel awe and experience many surprising and exciting moments.”

The group also delved into the concept behind ⁣the ⁢outer space-themed music video for “IYKYK,” and revealed that they frequently enough draw inspiration for their own style from the creative outfits worn by their ⁢fans.
