Actor Yo Oizumi (51) attended the preview screening of the movie “Dear Family” held in Tokyo on the 13th.

Along with Oizumi, who played the lead role, a total of nine lovely cast members took the stage, including Miho Kanno, Riko Fukumoto, Rina Kawaei, and Hokuto Matsumura. Oizumi appeared while the theme song “Dear” written by Mrs. GREEN APPLE for this work is playing. He was “surprised” by the size of the venue and the number of spectators. “Concert? I thought it was my statement today!” he said with a smile of joy.

This work is based on a true story about 23 miraculous years of love between a family that never gave up.

Oizumi, who felt a positive response from the filming, said, “I was full of love for someone else’s business.”

Oizumi said he previewed the film on the same day as Kanno and Fukumoto. “I could feel Oizumi-san crying from the beginning,” Kanno said, adding, “I sat in the back because I thought he was going to cry, but Kanno-san realized it .” He smiled shyly.

In order to save his young daughter, Yoshimi, who was born with congenital heart disease and had “10 years to live,” her father, Nobumasa, sets out to create an artificial heart. The mysterious story behind the birth of the IABP balloon catheter (aortic balloon pumping), which would later save 170,000 lives worldwide, is told through tearful stories involving perspectives on life and death, like “I want to eat your pancreas. ” and “Your night in the moonlight shines.” Director Sho Tsukikawa, who created the series, has directed the live-action version. It will be released nationwide from June 14.
