Yes, President Yoon will be attending the G20 Summit today, which is the last day of his trip to Southeast Asia.

Taking this opportunity, it was agreed to hold the Korea-China summit at 5:00 pm local time in Bali, Indonesia, and 6:00 pm Korea time.

The President’s Office announced this morning that it has agreed to hold a Korea-China summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping this morning.

This is the first meeting with President Xi Jinping since President Yoon took office.

Three years have passed since the Korea-China summit was held on the occasion of the Korea-China-Japan summit on December 23, 2019 at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

During this visit, President Yoon met with US President Joe Biden and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida through the Korea-US, Korea-Japan, and Korea-US-Japan summits.

In addition, as the Korea-China summit was held, a series of talks were held with the leaders of major countries around the Korean Peninsula, such as the United States, Japan, and China.

At the summit, it is expected that the increasingly provocative North Korean nuclear issue will be discussed in depth.

Our government has maintained the position that China, which has great influence on North Korea, must step in to resolve the North Korean nuclear issue.

While President Yoon announced the Korean version of the Indo-Pacific Strategy during his visit, today’s meeting is also expected to discuss issues within the Indo-Pacific region, such as the Taiwan Strait issue.

Before this, President Yoon will attend the official G20 welcome event, where he can have his first meeting with President Xi.

In addition, he will speak in Session 1 Food and Energy and Session 2 Health.

So far, we have delivered from Bali, Indonesia.
