After the Emmy Awards ceremony, Lee Jung-jae returned to Korea after attending the Toronto International Film Festival, where co-actor Jung Woo-sung and the film ‘The Hunt’ were invited.

He said he received many congratulations for winning the Emmy Award, saying it was meaningful not only for personal achievement but also for the development of Korean content.

“I think the development of Korean content, the meeting with audiences from many countries around the world, and the communication that comes from that meeting is more important than the personal meaning…”

His directorial debut and the film ‘Hunt’, on which he co-starred with Jung Woo-canu for 30 years, conveyed the atmosphere, saying that the reaction was also hot at the Toronto Film Festival.

“The local response was very good, and it is about to be released in North America in December, so I think this is the first publicity for the North American market.”

Actor Lee Jung-jae is having the best year of his 30-year acting career, including being the first Asian actor to win an Emmy Award, the most prestigious award in the American broadcasting industry.

In May, his first film, ‘The Hunt,’ was invited to the Cannes Film Festival and received favorable reviews, and in its domestic release, it was a huge success at the box office, attracting 4.3 million viewers.

Following the official appearance of Season 2 of ‘Squid Game’, he was also cast in the Star Wars series, standing tall as a global face representing Korea.
