Yoo Byung-ho’s text message scandal spreads… “Gukjeong Nongdan of the National Audit Office” vs. “Biho Wen, Politically Offensive”

On the 6th, the Democratic Party of Korea defined the text message sent by Secretary General of the Audit and Inspection Board Yu Byung-ho to Lee Kwan-seop, head of state affairs planning in the presidential office, as ‘anti-nongdan of constitutional state affairs’ and launch a massive offensive. He raised the level of pressure on the government to the extreme by predicting the proposal of the revision bill of the Audit and Inspection Board, the accusations of those involved, and the promotion of a state investigation.

An official from the Democratic Party’s ‘Yoon Seok-yeol Regime Political Invasion Countermeasures Committee’ told Seoul Shimbun on the same day, “Based on the bills proposed by the current party makers, the committee will make a new amendment to the Board Scrutiny and Inspection and adopt it and propose it as a partisan debate.” He also said, “We plan to file a complaint against General Secretary Yoo and senior government planning chief Lee at the Ministry of Public Safety and Security between the 12th and 14th after the Audit and Inspection Board’s inspection on the 11th. ” Since General Secretary Yoo’s message clearly shows that the audit is a retaliatory audit aimed at the Moon Jae-in government and that the independence of the audit is being undermined, it is said that the task force, the party’s official body, will come up with a bill directly. It is known that the amendment will include details such as strengthening the requirements to initiate an audit and punishing employees of the Audit and Inspection Board for abuse of power.

All the lawmakers of the Democratic Party belonging to the Legislation and Judiciary Committee of the National Assembly held a press conference in the National Assembly on the same day and said, “Chief Choi Jae-hae, who initiated the Nongdan National, resign immediately.” The above request will not be accepted, we will conduct a state investigation to find out the true nongdan of the unconstitutional state government,” he warned. Kwon Chil-seung, Kim Young-joo, Do Jong-hwan, Park Beom-gye, Lee Gae- ho, Lee In-young, Jeon Hae-cheol, Jin Seon-mi, Han Jeong-ae, and Hwang-hee, who served as ministers during the Moon Jae-in administration, also held a press conference in front of the Board of Audit and Inspection for urgent condemnation. We are conducting a general audit.” At the meeting, floor leader Park Hong-geun said, “The auditorium, which has been promoted as an independent organization, and has drawn a blade against the former president, is still the office of President Yoon Seok- yeol.”

On the other hand, the power of the people was wary of an extended interpretation. Jang Dong-hyuk, a spokesman for the floor, responded to CBS, saying, “It is too big to be interpreted with one letter, and it is politically offensive.”

In a question and answer session at the Yongsan presidential office on the same day, President Yoon said, “It is against the law to participate in the affairs of the Audit and Inspection Board, and there is no need to do so. I don’t have enough time to get involved like that.”
