Google Messages Updates youtube Video Previews

google ⁢Messages is updating how YouTube video previews appear in conversations.

Here’s the change:

*‍ Old Design: URL at ​the top, followed ‍by image, title, and​ short ​description.
* New Design: Larger image, followed by video title, YouTube’s favicon, and website domain.

Additional Details:

* Clicking a YouTube‌ video⁣ preview opens it in‍ a picture-in-picture window ​ within ⁤ Google ⁤messages. Currently, there’s no​ direct option to open the video in the YouTube​ app (though this might potentially be a bug).
* A similar design is being applied to previews for websites and online articles, displaying the lead image,⁣ title, ⁤favicon, and domain name.
* Users can disable previews⁢ altogether by going‍ to Message Settings⁢ >⁤ Automatic Previews.
